Dow's Fine White Port
Made by one of the most well regarded port winemakers in the world, Dow's Fine White Port is one of our Best Picks. Fermenting the wine off of the skins as Dow's does helps to keep the tannins out of the port, giving it an incredible smoothness. After fermentation, Dow's ages their white port in oak casks for an average of three years, carefully blending recently crafted ports before bottling to create a fortified wine that's incredibly consistent. It's made from traditional Portuguese white grape varietals and has an aromatic nose that's on the floral side. Though it smells quite sweet, on the palate it's medium dry, with big fruit flavors that are well balanced by acidity.
