Fonseca Ruby Porto
With over 150 years of practice making ruby port, Fonseca prides itself on its excellent execution of this style of wine. This pride is absolutely justified, as this is one of only a few ruby ports that has received scores in the 90's by professional wine critics. The wine is a deep ruby color, and shows off aromas of cherry and blackcurrant. The palate echoes these fruity notes, which linger all the way to the end of the finish, where they're joined by plenty of tannins. The tannins give this port more structure than many other rubies, making it ideal to enjoy with a plate of creamy French cheeses at the end of a meal. In order to get the most out of this port, you'll want to be sure to serve it at room temperature.
